Just for you

Love this card!  A simple one - putting both Washi and sticky paper through my bigshot and then just lining them up and sticking to the front of the card.  A quick stamped "sentiment", a little doily die from Memory box, and a flair to top it all off!

Try putting your washi through your die-cutter, it's easier than you think!  Check out my tutorial Here

Click Click Click

Hi Everyone,  just a quick peek at my latest layout :-)

I fell in love with these beautiful Framed Sentiment Embellishment that Tracy hand makes immediately and knew straight away how I wanted to use it and what photo to put with it!!
It's no secret that I love Washi Tape (or Wasabi Tape as Tracy affectionally refers to it :-P) and i was super excited when she got these in so of course - they had to go on the layout too!

Full layout details can be seen over at the my2angels blog.

Headwear or a Choker??

HMMM what  do you think for my latest efforts.  I used the new Steampunk Chipboard from Twiddleybitz but can't decide which it should actually be labelled as - I think it's my model's fault as she has made it look great both ways! Thank you Erin!

As a headpiece:

As a Choker:

The Ingredients:

I had a lot of fun with this and as soon as I saw the new Twiddleybitz Steampunk Nautical Border - I knew what I had to do with it!  All other products were purchased from My2Angels.

Trinket Box - for mum?

Just a quick post to show you a recently completed trinket box from Twiddleybitz.

I originally painted it all blue but then didn't like it very much so set to work with my alcohol inks!
Then to make it fancy I added flowers and charms (coloured with liquid pearls) and a bit of Flourish With A Bling...

And then I coloured some Muslin with coloursprays to make an insert, attaching it with hot glue.

I am very happy with the outcome, so much so that now I'm thinking I'll have to make something else for Mum as I want to keep this!

Here's a photo of the products I used (minus the original undercoat of paint), all flowers and charms are from My2Angels.

Together Canvas

I love how easy this was!

  1. I sprayed the canvas with glimmer mist and used the heat tool to dry it...
  2. I added some gold ferro over the Twiddleybitz chicken-wire stencil and sprinkled sugar beads in while it was still wet
  3. I coloured the chipboard butterfly with Inka Gold, and a touch of the brown ferro on the clockface section of the butterfly.
  4. I adhered the brass charm underneath him - then the 'together' charm on top with a hot glue gun.
  5. I added "discover" from Tim Holtz 'chitchat' and I was done!

Purple Love Treasure, another canvas :-)

Hello Everyone!

I've been playing with canvas' again, getting all inky - happy days!!
This is a 5x7 canvas board not frame so it's solid and flat.  I sprayed it with different coloured purple sprays, and then put Helmar Tacky Glue all over, hitting it with the heat gun to get the drying process underway.

I then applied Claudine Hellmuth Gloss Multi-Medium and adhered the chipboard, sprinkling the sugar beads in as well...

After heating again with the heat gun to dry it - and leaving it overnight to dry (it was excruciatingly painful leaving it overnight as I was impatient to finish!), I rubbed with silver Inka Gold on the chipboard, and Violet Inka Gold on the canvas and sugar beads area...

I coloured the word "LOVE", and the key and arrow charms I used for the hands of the clock in the Violet Inka Gold before adhering and sealing with more gloss medium. I also used silver Inka Gold on the purple flower before sealing...
I also added the 'treasure' word from the Tim Holtz ChitChat pack - coloured with Dusty concord ink, using glossy accents.

I added the Charm using hot glue as the adhesive as the base was uneven due to the sugar beads.

Here's an image of the canvas with all the products I used :-)
All items available from My2Angels; with the exception of the canvas and the sprays - although Glimmer Mists would be just as effective as the coloursprays I used.

Have fun and be sure to leave me a link if you're creating too!!

A Shabby, Twiddley Shadowbox

I've altered another Twiddleybitz shadow box!!
I could not resist doing a bit of shabby chic for this one and was at the perfect place to get some help - from Tracy Kielty over at my2angels, I'm so glad I live close!

Once the shadowbox was assembled, I started with Ferro Iron to cover the outsides (that's the brown); then rubbed over the surface with Inka Gold - I LOVE how this brings out all the texture!

Then I used Viva Stone Art on the frame and attached it at certain points only, with hot glue - it's curved as it was slightly bigger than the frame...
Added some gorgeous hand-made items, charms, and flowers (after spraying with gold perfect pearls mists) from my2angels

I then glued some tea-stained muslin inside the box.  All done and ready for a keepsake :-)

Ingredients:
Twiddleybitz - Shadow Box Sm; Card size (SBS001)
Twiddleybitz - Small Vintage Overlay (OV004)
Viva Decore - Ferro, Textured Paint (Iron)
Viva Decore' - Inka Gold (Gold)
