Twisted Sketches Card #92

My next card for the Twisted Sketches Card Design Team has been published on the Twisted Sketches blog.  The ladies have done an amazing job with this simple sketch - no 92, the interpretations of the sketch are once again quite varied and inspirational!!  The Twist is "fresh" - I used "fresh" and bright colours - a change for me!

Here's the Sketch -
Once again I couldn't help sewing on this card - i think my machine has a new lease on life :-)

For the strip of decoration on the envelope, I did have to carefully unstick the flaps of the envelope - thin tape the paper on to it - sew it in pace, then tape the flaps back up!

Ingredients:
White Pearl Card and Envelope
Kaisercraft Patterned Paper and Die cut Elements from Konstrukt Collection 6x6 Pad
White Paint

Don't Count The Miles...

Twisted Sketches is a fabulous blog.  Anam and the team post a sketch and really beautiful examples every week, alternating between cards and layouts.  I am so happy to be counted on the card team!! This week was a 'week off' for me but I loved the idea of the sketch and it suited my desire to try my hand at a step-card using more of the My 2 Angels products I got in my DT kit for January.

Here's my take on the sketch and naturally I did an envelope to match :-)

Here's the sketch - The twist was sparkle... I used glittery cardstock :-P
I used some gorgeous products from My 2 Angels again...  they really do work brilliantly, even if I do say so myself!!  I especially love the big brass flower and the love pin!

Ingredients:
Precut and scored Card and envelope (I adjusted to make it a step-card)
Black and Cream Cardstock
Dienamics Stamp & Die Set - First Class Friend
Stazon ink - Black
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
Tim Holtz Distress Stickles
My 2 Angels - Love Pin
My 2 Angels - Metal Flower
My 2 Angels - Heart Charm
Flourish With A Bling - Antique Gold Pearls
Miscellaneous Ribbon

Anyhoo - that's it for another night, thanks for stopping by - I hope I have inspired you :-)

Magical

I can't believe I'm sharing yet another layout with you!!

I simply adore this photo of Erin, taken in 2006 in Mum and Dad's garden.  She was such a poser that day - I have quite a few other shots I will scrap as the opposite page for our albums.

This layout began from a humble sketch (no.133) found on the fantastic Twisted Sketches blog.  The twist was "Jewels" but I think I covered it with all the beads?  Or perhaps the "jewellery'? LOL

And a close up of the cluster - I LOVE these gorgeous large flowers from My2Angels - they have the colour changing leaves and being white - I just used some distress ink with my applicator to apply some colour and then added diamond dust...

As an almost first time sewer on layouts - I remembered this tip I was told years ago - if you are sewing ribbon on your layouts - first attach it with some double sided tape and then sewing will be easier as you won't have to hold and reposition all the time!!  The 3mm express it tape was perfect for this (it doesn't mess with your needle making it stick!) - especially as it was FREE with my first order for the year at My2Angels!!

Ingredients:
PP - assorted paper from about 8 years ago!
Twiddleybitz - Butterflies (BUT007)
Flourish With a Bling - Jasmine White Puffy
My2Angels - 3mm dble sided tape
My2Angels - Large white flower
Tattered Angels Glimmer mists - Forest green and pink bubblegum
Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Peeled Paint
Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Spun Sugar
Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Victorian Velvet
Doily for Masking
Kindy Glitz - Clear
Miscellaneous Ribbons
Miscellaneous pink flower spray
